| Bastide
des Fontaines is very centrally located in Provence. The closest
airport with international connections is in Marseille, a 45mns-drive
away; whilst the airports in Nîmes and Toulon, slightly
further away, provide access from Paris and London. The property
is 20 kms away from the main French motorway system and the
high speed train network has stations in Aix-en-Provence –
a 40mns-ride- and in Avignon.
A
lovely hill-top village located a mere 4 kms away offers essential

A street market takes place once a week and a celebrated truffles
fair before Christmas. Supermarkets are also available nearby.

In their vicinity is also located the antiques-hunters paradise
of Isle-sur-Sorgue.
Within
an hour’s drive of the Bastide, one can visit some of
the most historical cities in southern France and of the best
preserved Roman sites in Europe: Arles, Avignon, Nîmes,
Orange, Pont du Gard, Vaison-la-Romaine, Saint-Rémy;
or one can wander through picturesque Camargue where herds of
white horses and black bulls roam amidst lakes and marshes populated
by pink flamingos.
 
An
international-class golf course welcoming international visitors
with their handicap cards is within a 20 minutes drive and a
further eight 18-holes courses can be found within a radius
of 40 kms.
Boating
and sailing in the lovely resorts of Cassis and Bandol are only
an hour away…And one can also enjoy a day’s excursion
to the glamour and high-life of Saint-Tropez, two hours away.
In the summertime, visitors will have the
choice from a variety of international music, opera and theatre
festivals within a reasonable driving range.
There
is also a huge variety of hiking, bicycling and horse-riding
tracks in the close vicinity.
